Non-degree and Certificate Programs

Non-degree Programs

You may apply as a non-degree student and take up to 12 credits of graduate coursework without seeking a graduate degree.

How to apply

  • Apply online and select the “non-degree” option in your program of interest.
  • Submit an official transcript with degree conferred and a minimum GPA of 2.75.
  • Submit your personal statement and CV.

Additional information

  • Before you apply, please contact the graduate director in your program of interest to confirm that a non-degree option is available and, if so, the application requirements and deadline.
  • Admission to a non-degree program does not guarantee admission to a graduate degree program.
  • The courses you take as a non-degree student may count toward a graduate degree, as long as they fall within the normal degree requirements and meet the minimum grade requirement.
  • If you would like to pursue a master’s degree after completing the non-degree program, please contact the graduate director in your program.
  • Non-degree students must have their course selection approved by an academic advisor before registering each semester.
  • Funding is not available for non-degree students.
  • International students: Please contact the graduate office at incasgrd@lehigh.edu to find out if you are eligible to apply as a non-degree student.

Certificate Programs

A certificate program can either be a stand-alone, focused area of study or it can complement your graduate degree. To apply, please visit the specific program link below for requirements and deadlines.

*This certificate is available to graduate students in the Environmental Policy program and other Lehigh University graduate students.
