Financial Support

Assistantships and Fellowships

We are dedicated to helping you fund your graduate education and offer these Lehigh internally-funded options:

Teaching Assistantships
TAs must be regular full-time students, which requires registration for nine credit hours or full-time certification per semester. Funding is administered by each academic department and includes a stipend and tuition remission. The duties of TAs are determined by the department and are outlined in a formal letter of appointment from the department. For information, please contact the graduate director in your program of interest.

Research Assistantships
RAs must be regular full-time students, which requires registration for nine credit hours or full-time certification per semester. Funding is administered by a department or an individual faculty member with an ongoing research project. RAs receive a stipend for research services and tuition remission, which is generally paid by the research project. For information, please contact the graduate director in your program of interest.

Fellowships & Scholarships
Lehigh offers a limited number of distinguished fellowships and scholarships for outstanding graduate students. Academic departments may nominate candidates, who are then selected by a faculty committee. Awards include multi-year stipends and tuition support. For information, please contact the graduate director in your program of interest.
