Frequently Asked Questions

There are so many great breakout sessions. How many can I choose to attend?

When registering, you have the option to select your top two choices for both the 11:15am and 1:45pm sessions. These choices will help us find the best room for each breakout session. On the day of the PA Convening, you will be able to attend one at each time.

Will lunch be provided?
Yes, lunch will be provided. Please include any dietary restrictions in the designated section when you register.

Where should I park?
Since the convening is taking place on a school day, Zoellner's parking garage will not be available. Please park at the Polk Street Garage for $1 an hour, located at 418 PA-412, Bethlehem, PA 18015. There will be a shuttle running to bring attendees back and forth.

I am traveling from far away. Are there any hotel recommendations if I arrive the night before?
We have acquired room blocks at two local hotels, Sayre Mansion and Comfort Suites. More information on the room blocks will be provided in your confirmation email once you register.

I am unable to attend, but would still love to receive any information about the Convening.

Will you have any access & accessibility assistance?
For all portions of the day taking place in Baker Hall, 9:15am -11:15am and two of the breakout sessions, one at 11:15am and one 1:45pm, there will be an ASL Interpreter and hearing assistance devices available. All breakout sessions are accessible by elevator or are on the ground level.

Will there be any space for me to decompress?
Yes, there will be a "Chill Room" available for anyone who needs to momentarily step away from the conference. The exact the location will be listed in the program the day of.
