Joelle Dorskind - The Effects of Stress on Memory Reconsolidation of Emotional Stimuli

Joelle Dorskind is a senior double majoring  in Behavioral Neuroscience and Cognitive Science. She has been working  in Dr. Hupbach's memory lab since fall 2010. After working as an Research Assistant on several of Dr. Hupbach's projects, She wanted to have the experience of launching an independent study. She applied for the Grants for Experiential Health and Learning and received a stipend to launch the project during the summer of 2011. Under Dr. Almut Hupbach's supervision, she created the computer program, recruited participants, and ran the study for three months and finished during the fall semester of 2011. She says it was a great experience and she
learned much about research and memory. Upon graduation, she plans to enter the field of biomedical research and am particularly interested  in immunology.
