Research & Scholarship
Arts and Sciences faculty work closely with students, but they are also imaginative and disciplined scholars. Pushing outward on the bounds of human knowledge and understanding is one of the fundamental obligations of our faculty. Undergraduate and graduate students participate in the fulfillment of the University's research mission and have numerous opportunities to learn the craft of scholarship.
The research mission of the University is supported by libraries, studios, laboratories, performance venues, computer and network facilities, health and safety services, the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs, the Vice Provost for Research, and the Development Office.
