WELCOME TO THE GSCI

The Globalization and Social Change Initiative (GSCI) was created in Fall 2006 to bring together research and teaching across Lehigh's four colleges on the economic, social, cultural and political impacts of globalization.

The GSCI sponsors research seminars, workshops, and symposia, and also directs the interdisciplinary undergraduate Global Studies Major.

As a part of Lehigh University's commitment to expanding its international profile, we welcome you to explore what the GSCI has to offer.

We include an expanding cadre of participating faculty who are dedicated to research on numerous global issues. These faculty are also dedicated teachers who created and maintain an innovative and interdisciplinary academic major. Global Studies students receive a broad understanding of world processes and issues as well as develop global competency that can help them shape that world.

Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or comments.
